Stuart N. Robinson, Ph.D. -- Biography Dr. Stuart N. Robinson is a licensed psychologist who
specializes in treating college students, middle-aged and older adults.
He provides coaching, counseling and therapy and performs symptom
screening, neurological and psychological testing. He specializes in
diagnosing adults with ADD, Dyslexia and other Learning Differences, and
Asperger’s and providing them the counseling they need to not only
cope, but to “own” their challenges and to be proud of their
differences. Much of his practice includes counseling senior corporate
executives and adults who are Talented and Gifted. In addition to teaching at Southern Methodist
University for over six years, he served as Dean of Students, Head of
Behavioral Medicine and Ethics at The Medical University of the Americas
where he introduced integrating the practice of Psychology and Medicine
to medical students. He now practices Integrative Primary Care and
collaborates with family physicians throughout Dallas, Texas. Dr.
Robinson’s expertise includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and
Behavioral Medicine. He treats patients with anxiety issues including
post-traumatic stress due to physical and sexual abuse in childhood,
obsessive-compulsive, social anxiety and phobias, depression, substance
abuse and personality tendencies and disorders. He completed his undergraduate training at The University of Virginia and received his masters and doctorate degrees from The Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition to his experience in clinical psychology, Dr. Robinson has established business credentials and a long-standing track record of success creating and running national-scale marketing campaigns, market research, planning and analysis. This includes major corporate turnarounds. He served as Vice President of Marketing for Greyhound, Inc and for BPAA -- the trade association for the bowling industry -- as Director of Marketing for Holiday Inns and as Head of Market Research for Consumer Products for Texas Instruments. He also successfully established and managed Stuart N. Robinson and Associates, Inc, a national
marketing research and strategic planning firm with five offices around
the county. He personally served as a marketing consultant to over 300
national corporate clients including Texas
Instruments, ATARI’s, Time- Warner, American Express, Girl Scouts of
America and many others, and helped reposition the destination image and
develop new markets for Texas, New Mexico, Virginia, San Antonio, New
York City, Atlantic City, Memphis and others. Stuart Robinson has two grown sons, Taylor and Harper. He raised them as a single parent and feels this was the single accomplishment that he is proud of most.
